And we are back! I feel like this is a style I can settle into, so maybe these two will get a chance to get used to things being the same consistently. Maybe. I also went back and added numbering to the bottom of some of the previous panels, as well as making sure they are all the same size. See you in, like, a couple of months probably. Remember, if you subscribe you never have to keep checking until the random day something new pops up again!

I think you are overusing the meta premise... Meta is fun when you get into a story and at a random point(s) the characters in one way or another make you realize you are reading/watching a story. But at that time you are already invested in the story. When you start a comic strip off meta it does force you into a corner from the start. I think readers like to be able to fall into the fake world of the story. And when you start the story off by stating "Hey! You are reading a fictional story" I think it can make it harder for the reader to become a part of that world. Yes, there are a lot of movies or books that start that way, but the reader is usually being told by a narrator. So it’s like "Hey! Here is this cool story I want to tell you." Instead of "Hey, I'm not real, this world around me isn't real. Wanna hear me talk more about this fabricated world?" We already know the world is made up. We as readers/viewers want to become a part of that world. And when it is blatantly not real I think it is harder to make that leap! Unless you are making a completely meta story, but I don't know how much fun that would be. And it looks like your comic strips are progressing the same story in most part.
